Thiruvananthapuram: Technopark has entered into an agreement with the Investment Promotion Bureau, Dalian Hi-Tech Zone, China, to enhance cooperation in the area of software and IT-enabled services.
The agreement was inked during the ongoing business mission to China by a seven-member delegation representing IT Kerala. Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander signed the cooperation MoU with director of the Investment Promotion Bureau, Dalian Hi-Tech Zone, Yuan Chi, on Wednesday.
The Indian delegation led by Ajay Kumar, IT Secretary, Government of Kerala, visited the Dalian Hi-Think Computer Technology Corp (DHC), a leading IT outsourcing company in China, with development and training centres in Dalian, Beijing, Tianjin, Jinan, Shenzhen, and Japan. The mission seeks to promote friendly relationship between its firms on the Technopark campus in Thiruvananthapuram and Infopark in Kochi and companies in China. The proposed tie-up will cover Business Process Outsourcing for Japan, South Korea and China, software export and outsourcing services (embedded software) for the Japanese, South Korean, American and European Markets, software outsourcing training, animation outsourcing and allied areas.
The delegation includes Dr. M.P. Sukumaran Nair, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister; S.S. Kukatlapalli, Additional Secretary (Industries); Shamsuddin Kaliyadan, CEO, Traco Cables Company Ltd., Kochi; Sunil Gupta, CEO, Collabera Enterprises Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Technopark; and Gopikrishna Santhanam, Manager – Business Development, Insoft.com Pvt. Ltd.
