KOZHIKODE: The All-Kerala School Teachers’ Union (AKSTU) has flayed reported attempts by certain sections to disrupt cluster meetings of teachers in centres such as Nadapuram and Meladi ‘in the name of protesting against the content of standard VII social science textbook.’

The Kozhikode district committee of the AKSTU, in a resolution passed at a meeting held here recently, averred that the protests were unwarranted and without any basis. The association expressed the view that the protests were part of a move to torpedo the changes being brought about in the school curriculum and in keeping with the times.
