The month of May is being observed as ‘Sustainability Month’ by Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum and, as part of it, there will be a discussion on the symbiotic relationship between waste management and sustainable agriculture on May 25.

It is being organised in association with Thanal, an environmental research organisation based in the city, and Agasthya Parva Ayurveda.

The programme will be held at 2.30 p.m. and a presentation and sale of organic products would also be conducted.

Alliance Francaise will also conduct an exhibition on different case studies of ‘green’ construction successfully carried out in Paris. Titled ‘Architecture=Durable,’ 30 exhibits will portray architects who used sustainable and eco-friendly products and experimented with modern technology in fashioning a ‘green’ building. The exhibition also includes futuristic designs aimed at reducing energy consumption.
