: Fifty-four Plus Two students of the Higher Secondary School at Chattamchal left on a study tour by boarding a flight to Bangalore on Saturday. The students, accompanied by teachers, boarded the flight from Mangalore, said a teacher.

From Bangalore, they will leave for Mysore by road and the tour schedule includes visits to industrial houses in Karnataka.

The expenses of the tour, organised by the teachers and the PTA, are being met by students while the financially weak students were extended support by the teachers, said class mentor K.V. Raghunathan.

The school had won the award for the best tourism club in the State.
