Kochi: As part of its social service programmes, the Kerala Bar Hotels Association on Saturday distributed study materials to school students.

The distribution was inaugurated by Minister for Public Works P.J. Joseph. School bags, uniforms, and books were distributed to 2,000 students.

`Pooram for Children,' organised in connection with the function, was inaugurated by the film actor Kunjacko Boban. Various entertainment programmes were staged by television and film artists. District president of the association Davis Pathadan presided over the function.

The function was attended, among others, by the former Minister Dominic Presentation, Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary Gopi Kottamurikkal and Sebastian Paul, MP.
