Students of Goodwill English School, Pookkottumpadam, near Nilambur, donated Rs.50,000 to the Kidney Patients Welfare Society and as much amount to the Pain and Palliative Care Clinic.

The children collected the funds as part of the social development scheme of the school’s Red Cross unit and the Aiswarya Social Welfare Club of the school.

Nilambur municipal chairman Aryadan Shoukath accepted the cheque from N.M. Basheer, president of the Amarambalam grama panchayat.
