Film: Janapriyan

Cast: Jayasurya, Manoj K.Jayan

Director: Boban Samuel

You cannot put a good man down. This perhaps sums up the theme of the movieJanapriyandirected by Boban Samuel.

The protagonist Priyan (Jayasurya) is, to put it simply, a good man. He is hardworking and ever willing to help others. By his good nature, he brings cheer to all those who interact with him.

Priyan is talkative and his dialogues give a touch of humour to the movie. Through another character, the movie takes a satirical dig at the indifferent work culture in government offices. However, the movie has little else to offer. The storyline does not pass muster. The script is by Krishna Poojapura.

Vaishak (Manoj K.Jayan), a government clerk, goes on long leave to pursue his ambition of becoming a film director.

Priyan is appointed in this vacancy. Now Vaishak fails in his attempts and wants to rejoin service. If he does so, Priyan will lose his job. The cast includes Jagathy Sreekumar and Bhama. Pradeep Nair wields the camera.

Lyrics penned by Santhosh Varma and Manju Vllayani are tuned by R. Gautham. The movie is produced by Mammen John and Reena John.
