THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Budget for 2007-'08 will be presented in the Assembly on March 9.
Speaker K. Radhakrishnan told a news conference here on Wednesday that the House would also take up several of the 23 Ordinances that await replacement during the session, which would begin with the Governor's Policy Address to the House on March 2.
The discussion on the Motion of Thanks for the Governor's address would take place from March 5 to 7.
The House would consider the Supplementary Demands for Grants for the current financial year on March 8.
The discussion on the Budget would take place from March 12 to 14 and the House would take up the Appropriation Bill and Vote on Account on March 15.
The Speaker said that time would be found for one-hour discussions on the reports of various Assembly committees.
This was being done in deference to the criticism that committee reports were not getting the attention they deserved.
