Srihari R, who bagged the second position on the Kerala Engineering Entrance rank list, is hopeful of making it to the IIT. He is eagerly awaiting the results of the IIT joint entrance examination in which he had performed well.

A student of the Bhavan’s Varun Vidyalaya at Thrikkakara, Kochi, he had a score of 487 out of 500 in the higher secondary qualifying examination.

Asked about the branch of study he would prefer to take up, he said his first choice was Electrical Engineering, with Mechanical Engineering the second option.

Srihari had a score of 314 out of 360 in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admission to the NIT. Asked which NIT he would prefer, he replied, “I have not really thought about it. Right now, I have pegged my hopes on getting admission to the IIT.” Srihari’s father, G. Radhakrishna Pillai, is a technical officer at the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Kochi, and his mother, R. Mini, is assistant project officer in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Cherthala. His brother is a 11{+t}{+h}standard student.
