District supply officer P. Gopinathan has said that a special squad has been formed in the district to check diversion of essential commodities under the rationing system. He said here on Thursday that the licences of two ration dealers were suspended last week after they had been found diverting two truckloads of commodities to private mills. It was found that the stock taken from godowns of the Food Corporation of India did not reach the ration shops. Ration inspectors had been posted in godowns. — Staff Reporter
