KOCHI: The Kerala Self-Financing Engineering College Managements Association has urged the Government to speed up the process of admitting students to the 50 per cent merit seats in various private engineering colleges in the State.

A general body meeting of the association held here on Wednesday requested the Government to conduct the counselling for admitting students to the merit seats at the earliest. Association president G.P.C. Nayar said the private engineering college managements were ready to accept the K.T. Thomas Committee fee structure for students to the merit seats.
