KOCHI: The Kerala State Small Industries Association has demanded that the government should take steps to distribute ownership deeds to entrepreneurs for the land in Small Industries Development Corporation industrial estates (SIDCO).

The State committee of the association has observed that though promises had been by the government in this regard no action was forthcoming. It was promised that the deeds, with full ownership rights to the entrepreneurs, would be distributed.

K. N. Subhagan, general secretary of the association, said in a press statement here that the entrepreneurs were not able to obtain bank loans because they did not have the ownership deeds of the land.

The state committee has also appealed to SIDCO to make timely payments for the supplies made by small units to the corporation.
