A headless skeleton was found on the Kasaba beach here on Wednesday triggering panic among local people.

The skeleton, believed to be that of a woman, was found by the local people and fishermen on the beach this afternoon. It had a silver anklet, a senior police official said. Kasaragod Town Police station Sub-Inspector P. Vijayan said the remains had been sent to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.
