A Thrissur-based ventriloquist, Sajeesh Kuttenellur, has created a show to promote Malayalam.

The show, titled ‘Malayala Peruma,' will be staged in schools in different parts of the State. He uses a puppet inspired by the ‘Kili' or the parrot portrayed by Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, the father of Malayalam poetry.

The poet had employed the ‘Kilipattu' (song of the bird) form. The show will include folk songs, tales, poems by Kunjunni, and rhymes.

Poets Akkitham and Chemmanam Chacko are the patrons of the show. In each show, a literary personality will speak about the importance of preserving Malayalam.

For more details about the show, contact Phone: 9846391755 or 9846086890.
