Programme to feature a fashion show and live western band

THRISSUR: `Dhoom Dhamaka 2007,' a show for college students, is being organised at the Regional Theatre here on February 14 by the Navaneetham Cultural Trust.

Preliminary competitions will be held at the same venue on February 10 from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The show will include competitions in singing love songs (`Heartbeats'), anchoring and presentation (`Stars of the Day'), dance duets (`Step n Synchro'), group dance (`Boogie-Woogie') and role-playing (`Mock-Press'). Karaoke tracks are allowed for the singing contest.

There is no registration fee. Registration forms are available at the Elite Supermarket (Round North, Thrissur-1; Tel: 9895180749).


Completed registration forms, certified by heads of institutions, should reach the organisers on or before February 8.

The programme will also feature a fashion show and live western band. The band will include Joel Samuel (vocals), Johnson John (lead guitar), C. T. Francis (bass guitar), Stephen and Colin Francis (keyboards) and Babu Varghese (drums).

Free passes for the show will be available at the Elite Supermarket from February 6, according to a press release.
