Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac will inaugurate a programme to mark the conclusion of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival 2009-10, at the Lal Bahadur Stadium on Tuesday.

The function will commence at 5.30 p.m. and will be presided over by Labour Minister P.K. Gurudasan. Minsters M.A. Baby, N.K. Premachandran, Mullakkara Ratnakaran, Jose Thettayil, Kadannappally Ramachandran and C. Divakaran will address the gathering.

After the function a three-and-a-half hour cultural programme, directed by Symphony Krishna Kumar, will be staged. Big-screen projections of the show will be in place. Over 70,000 entry passes had been distributed. Public will be let in the venue from 4 p.m. through four gates.

Entry passes can be had from the Kollam offices of The Hindu, Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi, Deshabhimani, and Kerala Kaumudi which are media partners of the GKSF. Passes printed on today’s newspapers can also be used.

Staff Reporter writes from Kollam: Playback singer Kumar Sanu, Vijay Yesudas, Ranjini Jose and Kalyani will take part in the programmes to be anchored by actor Jagadish. There will be dance performances by troupes from Cuba and Colombia. Mukta and team will also perform at the venue. Actor Indrans, stage artiste Baiju and the Cinemala team will present programmes. Arabic songs by K.P. Jayan will be another attraction.

Gate-1 will be for VIPs and invitation pass holders. Gate-2 will be for entry to the ground and gate-3 for entry to the gallery. Only VIP car pass holders will be permitted to park vehicles in the parking area of the stadium complex. Others should park their vehicles along the railway station road, Fatima College road and Karbala-SN College road. The KSRTC will operate special services to the venue.
