A stationery shop at Chelakkad in Nadapuram was set ablaze by unidentified miscreants on Saturday morning. The articles kept inside the shop was fully gutted in the incident. It was a police officer who saw the fire first and informed the Fire and Rescue Services. By the time they reached the spot, the fire had destroyed all the valuables. Police officers from Nadapuram station arrived at the spot and collected evidence following a complaint filed by shop owner T. Rahim. The shop was torched after pouring petrol through its ventilator, the police said. The losses are yet to be estimated, they added.
