KOLLAM: As part of an awareness programme initiated by the Union government, a regional two-day seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation Management in Knowledge Era’ was organised by the National Research Development Corporation, in association with the TKM Institute of Management, Kollam, at the Institute on September 22 and 23.

The inaugural meeting was presided over by T.K. Shahal Hassan Musaliar, president, TKM College Trust. C.M. Gaind, senior manager (IPR), National Research Development Corporation, welcomed the gathering. T. Abdul Karim Musaliar, executive director, TIM, delivered the inaugural address and Merlin B. Joseph, coordinator, IPR seminar, delivered the vote of thanks.

The inaugural session was followed by discussions on the methodology and formalities for the registration of patents, designs, trade marks and copy rights. – Staff Reporter
