: The postgraduate department of English at NSS College, Pandalam, will conduct a three-day national seminar on film studies, ‘Re-tracking the Celluloid — History, politics and popular culture in films’, at the college from October 24 to 26.

In a statement on Saturday, L.Valsa, Head of Department of English, and Ranjith Krishnan, convener, said the seminar, sponsored by the University Grants Commission is being organised in association with the State Youth Welfare Board.

Major Ravi, film-maker, will inaugurate the seminar . John Sankaramangalam, former director of FTII, Pune, will be the guest of honour.
