Twelve pairs of passenger trains beginning/ending their journey at Ernakulam Junction railway station will be cancelled on Saturday and Sunday, because of non-interlocked works being executed prior to commissioning of platform six at the station.

Nine weekly trains, the Venad Express and Kerala Express will be diverted through Kottayam and would have more number of stops in central Kerala. A few trains originating from/passing through the Ernakulam Junction railway station will encounter delay running to up to 30 minutes on Saturday and Sunday because of non-interlocked working being executed prior to commissioning of platform six at the station.

A few trains will skip the Ernakulam Junction railway station and stop at the Ernakulam Town instead.

Pre-recorded information on the running of all these trains can be had from enquiry number 139 and the Southern Railway website. Normal traffic would be restored by May 23.
