Kozhikode: A special school of the Kozhikode Institute for the Development of Special Education and Training (KIDSET) was inaugurated here recently. Self-help groups of parents were launched on the occasion.

K.V. Jayadevan, chairman of the institute, says it already has a vocational training centre for training mentally challenged children in making eco-friendly products.

P.R. Nathan, novelist inaugurated the special school. C.K. Renuka Devi, councillor, who inaugurated the self-help groups, said a project submitted by the institute for such children and adults had been under the consideration of the city Corporation.
