THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SBT performance awards for the year 2005-06 for top performing branches were distributed at a function held here on Monday. Every year, five top performing branches are selected in metro, urban, semi-urban, rural and specialised branch categories to be the members of the MD's Club and special awards are distributed to them. K. Sitaramam, Managing Director distributed the MD's Club awards to Secunderabad, Kaloor-Ernakulam , Chingavanam, Kuruppanthara, Indira Nagar-Bangalore branches, Pradeep Shankar, Chief General Manager distributed the CGM's Club awards to 19 selected branches.

The managing director in his presidential address congratulated the branches for securing the prestigious distinction. He also exhorted them not to be satisfied with mere achievement of budgetary goals and to focus their attention on the market share in their respective locales.

R.G. Gadkari, general manager (P&D) welcomed the gathering. R. Chandrasenan, chairman, Associate Banks Officers Association and C. Gopinathan Nair, general secretary, Employees Union also spoke on the occasion.
