KOZHIKODE: The National Savings Agents’ Association, Kozhikode, has said the UPA government is jeopardising the basic credit system of the country by not increasing the rate of interest on deposits. A meeting of the association held here recently wanted the government to increase the rate of interest on national savings scheme deposits. A memorandum demanding a national investment policy for children will be sent to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister on Indira Gandhi’s death anniversary on October 31. Association president Molly George presided.
