The government has given administrative sanction for constructing a building for housing the Maritime Institute at Neendakara at a cost of Rs.24.8 crore.

Fisheries Minister K.Babu said in a release here on Thursday that the building was being constructed with the cooperation of NABARD using the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund.

Sanction had also been given for constructing a sub-centre of the Maritime Institute at Kodungalloor at a cost of Rs.10.1 crore. — Special Correspondent
