The suspended officials are K.J. Valsalakumari, Deputy Commissioner, and P. Prathapan, Assistant Commissioner, Sales Tax Department, Kozhikkode.

The Minister said that an Inspector at Walayar check post was also placed under suspension for allowing a spirit lorry to pass through the check post, which was later seized at Ernakulam.
