Employees of the Thrissur Sales Tax office took leave en masse on Tuesday in protest against vigilance action in connection with Nano Excel fraud. Half of the staff in the three circle offices in Thrissur took leave alleging that they have been made scapegoats after some of the senior officials were involved in the money chain cheating case. Six senior officials in the department were suspended for allegedly taking bribe from Nano Excel.
