Sabarimala temple to open for 15 days
The Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha temple will remain open for 15 days from April 3 to 18 in connection with Vishu and other festivals. A Travancore Devaswom Board release said here on Sunday that the sanctum sanctorum will be opened on April 3 evening and closed after the Vishu festival on April 18. Vishu falls on April 15. The temple will be opened at 4 a.m. and the Vishu Kani darshan will be till 7 a.m.. The thanthri and melsanthi of the temple will offer ‘kaineetam’ (coins) to the devotees. All routine poojas like Ganapathy Homam, Usha Pooja, Ucha Pooja, Athazha Pooja and special poojas like Padi Pooja, and Udayasthamana Pooja will be held during the period. Neyyabhiskeham too will be held as usual.
