Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), with Integrated Rural Technology Centre (IRTC), Mundur, will organise a three-day Rural Investors Meet (RIM) here from March 21 to 23.

The inventors, who developed innovative products in the area of Agriculture, Traditional Industries, Energy, Waste Management etc., could attend the RIM and present their products and ideas evaluation and peer group assessment, the KSCSTE release here on Monday said.

A platform

The aim of the RIM was to provide a platform for independent researchers, product developers, and those who had done their research outside the formal research institute. Besides, students from engineering colleges, young scientists, students and teachers, who have either developed innovative products or technology or had novel ideas could also attend the RIM.

Cash awards

The KSCSTE had instituted cash awards for the best presentations or products, the release said. This was the first of the kind in Kerala and those who were interested could register their names before February 28 with the IRTC, it said.
