The State will get Rs.50 crore under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) for comprehensive health initiatives in the urban areas, Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar has said.

He said that following discussions with Union Health Secretary Keshav Desiraju and other officials, it had been decided that the State would submit project proposals worth Rs.50 crore under NUHM. Priority will be given to better healthcare services and development of human resources in health.
