Passenger train

The first passenger train to Thiruvananthapuram from Kollam reaches the Central station only by 9 a.m., which is of no use to students, hospital goers, employees working at various central government institutions and companies in the city.

There is an urgent need for a passenger train from Kollam to reach Thiruvananthapuram by 7 a.m.

On option is to provide for halts for Number 6330 Malabar Express between Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram. This would also help in rescheduling the Number 361 Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram passenger to reach Thiruvananthapuram by 7 a.m.

Will the Railways consider this suggestion?

Public toilets

A good number of senior citizens throng the museum compound in the city for their morning walk.

Moreover, hundreds of tourists visit the museum and zoo every day.

However, it is surprising that there are no toilets on the premises at such a public place.

The City Corporation authorities must take steps to provide a `pay-and-use' toilet on the museum premises.
