To take out march on Sunday

KOCHI: K.V. Thomas, MLA, State president of the All-Kerala Retail Ration Dealers Association, has said the public distribution system of the State was bound to collapse following the drastic cut in the quota of the food grains and kerosene.

The State conference of the association, scheduled to begin here on May 5, will focus on the issue.

Minister for Public Works T.U. Kuruvilla will flag off the march to be taken out by the ration dealers on May 6 from Goshree Bridge. Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the public meeting.

Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate the delegates' session on May 7 at 8.30 a.m. Mr. Thomas will preside. Minister for Fisheries S. Sarma will deliver the keynote address.
