KATTAPPANA: Demanding the issuance of condition-free title deeds to farmers and a solution to the issues related to land in the district, the High Range Samrakshana Samithi, an organisation fighting for the cause of farmers, will organise a rally here on Friday.

The rally will begin from four points—Puliyanmala road, Idukki junction, Erattayar junction and Pallikkavala—at 9.30 a.m.

Organisers of the rally said that the future course of action will be announced at the valedictory function to be held at 5 p.m.

Thousands of people from various parts of the district are expected to take part in the protest march and the rallies arriving from the four centres will converge at the Central junction.

A hunger strike participated by hundreds of farmers will be inaugurated at the taxi stand.

Also, the BJP, some factions of the Kerala Congress and social organisations like the Malanadu Karshaka Raksha Samithi have extended support to the rally.
