KALPETTA: The government should appoint a special investigation team to probe the land deals in Wayanad district, C.K.P. Padmanabhan, State secretary of the Karshaka Sangham, has said.

He was speaking at a press conference here on Friday.

The government should suspend the Forest officials who registered cases against MLAs in the district and conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter, he said.

The protests undertaken under the banner of the Karshaka Sangham would continue, he said.

P. Krishna Prasad, MLA; P.K .Velayudhan, member, State committee of the Karshaka Sangham; and C.K. Sahadevan, district president; were present.
