Two-day fete at Government Engineering College

KOZHIKODE: The two-day annual national-level technical festival, ‘Principia 09,’ of the Government Engineering College (GEC), Kozhikode, concluded at the college here on Saturday.

The festival was inaugurated on Friday by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment executive vice-president E.P. Yesodharan. ‘Principia 09 — Unleash Your Creativity’ was the third festival of its kind.

The main attraction of the festival was the ‘Best engineer test’ which mimics the real life of an engineer in two days.

Vipin V. and I.I. Aslam of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) were the winners of the general quiz. Shyam of Chinmaya School and Sangeeth K.S of GEC, Kozhikode shared the first prize in a gaming contest which was open to school students.

Dheeraj of Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam and Dileep Joseph of GEC, Kozhikode, were declared winners of ‘Inquest of the Enlightened.’ The technical theatres set up at the venue provided a visual journey through different areas of technology.
