A community awareness and preparedness programme was held at the Kerala Police Academy on Friday by the Fourth Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Participants received lessons in administering first aid, using safety equipment and rescuing people in times of emergency. NDRF Fourth Battalion Sub-Inspector Rojish Thomas pointed out the importance of students learning how to give first aid.

Deputy Collector A.V. Susheela inaugurated the function.

NCC officers Jeen Mooken, D.F. Thomas and deputy tahsildar K.S. Balakrishnan were present.
