Alleges trade union vendetta behind cases

KOLLAM: The Kerala Power Workers Unity Centre (KPWUC) has registered a strong protest against the KSEB suspending four of its State level leaders, including president K. Gopinathan Pillai. In a statement here on Tuesday, KPWUC district secretary Suresh Babu alleged that rather than any sound reasons, trade union vendetta had triggered the suspensions.

He said that Mr. Pillai, who worked at the KSEB headquarters, was transferred on June 29 and July 29 last in violation of all established transfer norms. It was because the KPWUC had questioned this act that four of its leaders were falsely implicated in bogus cases and suspended, Mr. Babu alleged. He called upon the KSEB to withdraw the suspension and bogus cases.
