The police on Tuesday questioned the Kerala distributor of Bhutan lottery, John Kennedy, in connection with the investigation of the lottery scam.
Mr. Kennedy appeared before Assistant Commissioner P. Ajay Babu, who is the investigating officer. Officials said they questioned Mr. Kennedy. On Monday, they had questioned Santiago Martin, a Tamil Nadu-based businessman who had the contract to sell Bhutan lottery in the country till 2011.
Earlier, Mr. Ajay Babu had filed a report in a magistrate court here naming Mr. Martin and Mr. Kennedy as the prime accused in three “fake'' lottery cases registered in 2010.
The police case against the accused is that they had defrauded the public of large sums of money by allegedly running an unchecked fake lottery racket for the past several years.
