The Kerala High Court on Thursday admitted a public interest petition seeking a ban on flex boards in the State. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice K. Vinod Chandran also issued notice to the State government, State Police Chief and the State Pollution Control Board. The petition filed by Amjad Ali of Kochi also sought a directive to the State Police Chief to get the flex boards and advertisement boards installed at public places and government offices removed. According to the petitioner, flex banners are made of polyvinyl chloride, a carcinogenic substance. — Special Correspondent
