The All-Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders has withdrawn its decision to keep the petrol pumps closed on November 1 and 2 to press for various demands.

President of the federation Alex Vallakallil said here on Thursday that the decision followed an assurance given by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to the representatives of the organisation that the government would do whatever possible on the demands. The organisation's demands included amending of the order issued by the government controlling the petrol pumps in the State, a ban on opening of new petrol pumps in the State without a scientific study, and the appointment of a committee to conduct a feasibility study for opening new pumps.
