A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has closed a writ petition seeking a directive to the Kochi City Police Commissioner to deploy police officers to assist pedestrians in crossing busy roads in the city.

When the petition came up for hearing, the police told the court that the Ernakulam District Road Safety Council was seized of the issue relating to pedestrian crossings and the petitioner could approach the council with her complaint. The petition was filed by Rosy Arrackal.
