THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor C. Jayan Babu told the Corporation council on Friday that the system of issuing building permits and birth and death certificates would be streamlined to avoid difficulties for applicants. The meeting adopted a resolution deciding to send certificates by registered post on request. Applicants can also receive certificates in person after proving their identity. Earlier, councillors pointed out that applicants complained of delay in receiving certificates through ordinary post.
