Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that though the Lok Sabha elections would be report card on the performance of the UDF government, it will also reflect the people’s reaction to the violent political methods adopted by the CPI(M) in the State.
Speaking at an election meeting at Peruvanthanam on Sunday, he observed that after the murder of T. P. Chandrashekran, the CPI (M) was continuing to target party leaders for leaving the organisation as it is becoming weaker by the day.
The recent murder of a person at Thrissur is an example of the party’s criminal political path.
Dispelling the fears of the people on the Kasturirangan issue, Mr Chandy said that the government was aware of the problem and it has almost been settled. If still there are problems related to the issue, the government would give top priority to find a solution, he said.
The Congress-led government would ensure that not a single person is adversely affected by the report.
