Peevees Model School lifts CBSE championship

Peevees Model School at Nilambur here lifted the overall championship in the district-level youth festival of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools that concluded at Sree Valluvanad Vidyabhavan, Perinthalmanna here, on Wednesday. The school secured 643 points.

Fatimagiri English School, Nilambur, became the runner-up by scoring 566 points. Airport Senior Secondary School, Karipur, and Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Kottakkal, won the third and fourth positions respectively.

Sacred Heart SS School, Kottakkal, was adjudged the champions in the lower primary and high school categories. In upper primary and higher secondary categories, Peevees Model School was the champions.

In the higher secondary category, Agnimitra from Airport School won the first prize in Kuchipudi. K.K. Mishal Rahnan from M.E.S. Engineering College Campus SS School, Kuttippuram, won the first prize in mimicry. Rahul R. Menon and K.R. Sadika from Airport School won the first prizes in mono-act and light music respectively. In the light music contest for boys, Abhinand Pradeep from Fatimagiri English School, Nilambur, won the first prize.

In western music, Sacred Heart SS School, Kottakkal, won the first prize.

In the high school category, Karthika Gouri from Sree Valluvanad Vidyabhavan won the first prize in Kuchipudi. Fima K. Sugathan from Fatimagiri English School, Nilambur, won the first prize in folk dance for girls. Arun Mohan from Vidya Bhavan, Kottakkal, won the first prize in folk dance for boys.

Hafiz Mohammed Binshan from Airport School won the first prize in mimicry.

In the upper primary category, K. Arjun from Sree Valluvanad Vidyabhavan won the first prize in folk dance for boys. In folk dance for girls, Chinchu Lakshmi from Amrita Vidyalaya, Tanur, won the first prize.

In classical music, Krishnendu M. Nair from Sacred Heart SS School, Kottakkal, won the first prize. The Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Tirunavaya, won the first prize in group dance.
