Considering the rise in the number of passport applicants, especially owing to the upcoming Haj and vacation seasons, a Passport Mela will be held at the four Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) under the Kozhikode office on Saturday, said a release from K.P. Madhusoodanan, Passport Officer, Kozhikode, issued here on Thursday.

Accordingly, the PSKs at West Hill, Vadakara, Kannur, and Payyannur will operate from 9 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. on Saturday, said the release. Applications for passport services will be accepted on the basis of prior appointments except for Tatkal and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) during the mela.

The applicants should register on-line and generate an Application Registration Number (ARN) and take appointment for Saturday by logging on to www.passportindia.gov.in. They should bring a print-out of the ARN to the PSKs.

Applications will be accepted only in person and not through any third party. The passport fees will be accepted only in cash.
