KOLLAM: The Railway Passengers’ Association will take out a march to the Railway Divisional Office, Thiruvananthapuram, on Friday.

The association is seeking steps to mitigate the woes of train commuters, association president S. Ulhas Kumar said.

The march will begin at 10 a.m. from the Central Station.

The demands include immediate notification of new halts for express trains, more coaches for the Kochuveli-Mangalore Express, extension of the Thiruvananthapuram-Kollam passenger to Kayamkulam, extension of the Eranakulam-Kayamkulam passenger to Kollam, rescheduling the Kollam-Kottayam passenger and steps to start MEMU services.
