Meeting of Joint Water Regulation Board on April 8

PALAKKAD: A meeting of the Joint Water Regulation Board of the inter-State Parambikulam-Aliyar Project (PAP) between Kerala and Tamil Nadu will be held at Mulamattam in Idukki on April 8.

The meeting will decide on the release of water from PAP to Chitturpuzha at Manacadavu weir for the first quarter of May and June for starting the preparatory work for the first crop of the paddy season.

The officials of the Joint Water Regulation Division in Palakkad said that Tamil Nadu has so far released 7.25 TMC feet of water for Chitturpuzha as per agreement.
