Rugmini Bhaskaran, Kerala State Women's Commission member, on Thursday said the number of girls getting cheated in pre-marriage affairs had increased considerably.

Addressing the media after a panel sitting at the collectorate conference hall here, Ms. Bhaskaran said many teenaged girls were falling victims after getting into relationships with unfamiliar people over the phone.

More grievances

The number of such grievances coming before the commission was on the rise, Ms. Bhaskaran said, urging caution by parents and girls.
