KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode-based Pravasi Welfare and Development Co-operative Society has drawn up an industrial package for the rehabilitation of expatriates returning after a general amnesty by various Governments in Gulf countries.

The society worked out the formalities at a meeting held here on Wednesday. society president Attakoya Pallikkandi chaired the meeting. Vice-president K.T.Vasudevan presented the package. C.H. Ibrahim Kutty was elected Gulf co-ordinator for the purpose.

The proposed industrial package includes starting of industrial units for manufacturing of paper bags. Minister for Industries Elamaram Karim will inaugurate the first paper manufacturing unit here next month.

Job opportunities in the insurance and travel sectors have also been explored.
