Minister for Non-Resident Keralites’ Affairs K.C. Joseph hands over assistance to an NRI returnee in Thrissur on Friday.

Steps have been taken to open the offices of NoRKA-Roots, a field agency of the Non-Resident Keralites’ Affairs Department, in all districts, Minister for Non-Resident Keralites’ Affairs K.C. Joseph has said.

He was addressing a meeting here on Friday to inaugurate an office of NoRKA-Roots.

“Various services for non-resident Indians (NRIs) should be made available in a single window. The offices are being set up to streamline the services.

NRIs can lodge with the offices complaints about services offered by the government,” he said.

Mr. Joseph handed over assistance to 12 NRI returnees on the occasion. Therambil Ramakrishnan, Thomas Unniyadan, P.A. Madhavan, K.V. Abdul Khader, MLAs, and NRI entrepreneur C.A. Menon were present.

The NoRKA-Roots will hold an awareness programme on working abroad here on Saturday.
