Timers N Savers, a technology-incubated company at NIT, Calicut, led by Sunil Isaac has won the first prize in “The Project Contest on Open Hardware” held as part of the FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) Young Professional Meet 2013 (FYPM) organised by International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) here. The team won a tablet for their project ‘Universal Programmable Product Adapter (UPPA)’. The second prize was shared by Reshma C.S. and Divya Suresh from TKM Institute of Technology, for their project ‘Heavy Vehicle Monitoring System’ and Joms Antony and Sudhin Joy from Amal Jyothi Engineering College, Kanjirapally for ‘Intelligent Name Board’.

Sajith Surendren of Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram bagged a consolation prize.
